More About Rachel Weirick

Maybe you or your child is going through something that feels difficult to put into words. Perhaps you’re navigating grief, anxiety, ADHD, a major life transition, or emotions that feel overwhelming. You don’t have to figure it all out alone.

Hi, I’m Rachel Weirick, a Clinical Mental Health Counseling Intern working under the supervision of a licensed clinician. I work with adults, teens and children ages 8+ navigating anxiety, ADHD, neurodivergence, grief and loss, trauma, chronic illness, women’s concerns, and life transitions. I also have more than four years of experience supporting children and families, helping clients develop emotional regulation, communication, and coping skills.

My approach is warm, collaborative, curious, and grounded in the belief that you are the expert on your own experience. I use a Gestalt-informed approach to build awareness of emotions and how they show up in the body, along with psychodynamic therapy to explore how past experiences, relationships, and patterns may influence how you feel and respond today.

Therapy looks different for everyone. For children and teens, sessions may include creative or expressive activities, while adults may talk through challenges, explore patterns, process difficult experiences, or simply have a safe space to be heard. I also incorporate humor when appropriate because sometimes a little lightness can make heavy things easier to navigate.

Whether you’re seeking support for yourself or your child, we’ll work together at a pace that feels comfortable and meaningful. My goal is to create a space where you feel understood, supported, and free to be yourself.

Outside of counseling, you’ll usually find me skiing, painting something I may or may not finish, or cuddling with my two cats.
