Hi, I’m Kira! I am a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) here in Colorado. Here’s a little bit about me! I recently moved here from Texas, where I got my Bachelor’s Degree in Psychology at Texas State University and my Master’s Degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of Texas-Tyler. I have six pets, four cats and two dogs at home. I have a really green thumb and enjoy gardening. In my downtime, I enjoy spending time in nature and going on hikes, listening to an audiobook, and spending time with my pets.
My path to counseling is creating a strong relationship and making a roadmap to what you want to explore or change along the way. Helping you feel seen and heard and given the tools to help you succeed is my goal from our sessions.
I enjoy working with adults who find themselves repeating cycles and want to dive deeper into their past and how it impacts the present. I’m passionate about working with the LGBTQ+ people, the neurodivergent community, and unserved populations.
I use a multi-theoretical approach when it comes to therapy, applying a mixture of parts-work, solution-focused ideas, strengths-based counseling, and mindfulness techniques. I strive to tailor our sessions to your needs and goals and I look forward to connecting with you!
