More About Muhammad "Zee" Zeeshan

Hi, I’m Muhammad Zeeshan (Zee), a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) based in Denver, Colorado. I work with children, teens, adults, and families as they navigate anxiety, trauma, grief, emotional dysregulation, OCD, social struggles, and major life transitions. My therapy style is calm, supportive, and collaborative. I focus on creating a space where people feel understood, valued, and empowered to gain clarity, build confidence, and take meaningful steps in their healing process.

My clinical work integrates a wide range of evidence-based therapeutic modalities, including:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT)
  • Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP) for OCD
  • Play Therapy and Child-Centered Approaches
  • Family Systems and Dynamics Focused Interventions
  • Mindfulness-Based Stress Reduction and Somatic Strategies
  • Spiritually Integrated Psychotherapy
  • Solution-Focused Interventions
  • Strengths-Based and Person-Centered techniques

Across settings, I’ve provided individual, family, and group therapy, crisis intervention, in-home services, school-based counseling, suicide risk assessment, and skills-based coaching. I have worked with diverse caseloads, including children ages 2 to 12, adolescents, and adults.

My clinical passions include strengthening family dynamics, supporting individuals through trauma and attachment challenges, helping clients manage anxiety and PTSD, and guiding families through patterns of emotional overwhelm and communication barriers.

I am intentional about creating a therapeutic space that feels safe, culturally inclusive, affirming, and grounded in compassion, a place where clients can explore their stories without judgment and grow at a pace that feels right for them.

Outside the therapy room, I am the Founder and CEO of Mentally United Inc., a 501(c)(3) nonprofit dedicated to expanding access to mental health resources through community outreach, creative campaigns, and educational programming. I also host the We Are Mentally United Podcast, where I highlight stories of resilience, healing, and the many ways people find strength in their lives.

When I’m not working, you’ll likely find me watching movies, hiking, playing soccer, traveling, meditating with my crystals, or unwinding with music, especially Taylor Swift and Coldplay. Creativity, mindfulness, and connection fuel my work, and I often integrate those passions into the therapeutic process.

If you’re looking for a therapist who brings empathy, cultural awareness, clinical skill, spirituality, and authenticity into the room, I’d be honored to connect. Healing doesn’t have to be a lonely journey. We’ll take each step together, at your pace and in your voice! 🙂
