More About Sofia Huston

Hi, I’m Sofia Huston, a Licensed Professional Counselor Candidate (LPCC) providing therapy in Denver, Colorado, for teens, adults, and couples who are ready to feel more grounded, connected, and confident in themselves. I take a trauma-informed, strength-based approach to counseling that blends empathy with practical tools for change. Using evidence-based therapies like CBT, DBT, narrative therapy, motivational interviewing, and solution-focused therapy, I help clients better understand their emotions, improve relationships, and navigate life’s challenges with greater clarity and resilience.

I’m especially passionate about supporting teens ages 13+ who are struggling with boundaries, friendships, dating relationships, identity exploration, self-esteem, anxiety, and the everyday stressors that come with growing up. I create a supportive space where adolescents can feel heard without judgment while building healthy coping skills and confidence. I also work with adults navigating trauma, grief, major life changes, depression, identity concerns, and relationship challenges. My experience includes working with high school students at risk of academic failure, facilitating support groups for trans youth, and helping clients process complex emotional and behavioral patterns with compassion and authenticity.

I know reaching out for therapy can feel vulnerable, especially when life feels overwhelming or uncertain. My goal is to create a safe, affirming environment where you can show up exactly as you are and feel genuinely supported. Whether you’re looking for teen therapy in Denver, trauma therapy, grief counseling, LGBTQ+ affirming care, or support through a difficult transition, I’m here to help you move toward healing, self-understanding, and meaningful growth. I offer both in-person therapy in Denver and telehealth counseling to make care accessible and flexible for your life.
